Our Story
Cold Stream Inn, a very old fashioned place, sitting on the banks of Cold Stream Pond is as individual as a fingerprint. Built in the 1800's, Cold Stream Inn has weathered all kinds of storms, seasons, turbulence and time changes. She has been a hunting lodge, a restaurant, an art gallery, a private home and a refuge. Her history is as exciting and intriguing as any iconic place worth visiting, and worth visiting she is. Today, Cold Stream Inn is an inn for those looking to experience the natural beauty of a Maine lakeside retreat.
Our Rooms
With 5 guest rooms, 3 with private full baths, and two that currently share a bath, each space is as unique as the building itself. Our rooms are clean, comfortable, offering beautiful views as well as the coziest of beds. Arrayed with cotton sheets and blankets, more than enough pillows for everyone, homemade quilts, down comforters in season, in your bed at Cold Stream Inn, your body will be folded into a restful and comforting place that gives the sleeper the rest they require to carry on in a world that drains us daily.
Our Setting
With simple activities offered such as kayaks, an Old Town canoe, swimming and sunning yourselves on any of the many decks or the lawn, reading in quiet nooks or writing in journals in the summer house, Cold Stream Inn is a place to unwind from the pressures of life.
