At the Inn
Step outside and you're already there. Cold Stream Inn sits directly on the shore of beautiful Cold Stream Pond, with a private dock, raft, and kayaks available for guests to enjoy. Spend your morning paddling along the water's edge, cast a line off the dock as the sun comes up, or simply settle into a chair and let the stillness do its work. Some of our guests never leave the property — and we understand completely.
On the Pond
Cold Stream Pond is one of central Maine's finest lakes — a spring-fed, crystal-clear body of water stretching seven miles long with depths reaching over 120 feet. Anglers will find landlocked salmon, lake trout, yellow perch, chain pickerel, and white perch. Keep your eyes open for loons, bald eagles, and the occasional snapping turtle making their way along the shore.
Explore the Area
The woods surrounding Cold Stream Pond invite exploration. Nearby Cold Stream Forest offers scenic hiking trails leading to Upper Falls and Cold Stream Falls — a perfect half-day adventure. Wildlife is abundant, the air is clean, and the quiet is the kind you don't find many places anymore.
